Present Attempt is a collective of 4 artists making and producing interdisciplinary performance works which include studio-based pieces, site specific works, writing and research. We show our work in a variety of spaces and settings.
Working as a group is important to us. We try to give equal attention to both how we make our work and what work we might make. We try to be honest, we like to cope with the rules and we like to declare them. Then we like to play around, always fascinated by what happens when the playing stops, when the rules get broken, the latent potential of the live.
Present Attempt are – James Bush, Alex Eisenberg, Venla Hatakka and John Pinder. Previous collaborators include – Matthew Trueman, Rachel Hurrell, Frankie Dixie, Jennifer Squire, Sam Lerner and Tim Deiling.
